Welcome!

On July 7, 2014, University of Latvia Young Minds Section was established by five Physics students of University of Latvia - Arturs Cinins, Inga Saknite, Janis Smits, Guntars Kitenbergs and Anda Svagere.

Our Section has become the 26th Young Minds Section, and we are very enthusiastic to join European Physical Society's Young Minds project.

We are open to welcome new members to our Section, as well as look for collaboration with other Sections and organizations all over Europe and the world!

Our mission is to promote awareness of Physics research and applications to students, school children and public. We are planning to achieve it by:
  • organizing seminars on different topics throughout the academic year for students;
  • organizing the School for Young Physicists for school children;
  • participate in Science Night in order to tell about our research and different Physics applications to the general public.
